Google Bringing Street View to Hiking Trails

Over the past few years, Google Street View maps have let us explore the worldfrom our laptops. The maps have given us tours around cities and the Amazon; gone along the Rhaetian Railways of the Swiss Alps and inside the White House. Now, with new equipment, Street View will be able to take us along on the world’s best hiking trails.

Paleo vs. Vegan

For most of us we plan a meal based on the four food groups and mot of our shopping and food consumption is based on this principle. But what if you were choosing between fruits and vegetables or where and how your meat is raised. As a person on a vegan or paleo diet, you choices are very different. In this article. The a look at the different sides to this healthy new debate.

THE DAILY MENU
Paleo – foods that harken back to what our hunter-gather ancestors ate – grass fed meats, wild caught fish, roots, veggies and some fruits.

Vegan – eat only plant-based foods, no animal products

THE ENVIRONMENT
Paleo – eating meat supports local farmers, requires no fossil fuel, repairs habitats and sequesters carbon. (Lierre Keith)

Vegan – the largest part of deforestation and destruction of parries is done to grow cattle, pigs, sheep and chicken for Westeners. (John McDougall)
