fearDo Fear and Anxiety Define Your Health Journey?

Think for a minute about the health messaging sources in our culture. Think of the pharmaceutical ads in every magazine and television show. Think of the medical talk shows and evening exposes on obscure conditions, the nightly newscasts depicting the ravages of epidemics in far flung corners of the globe and “expert” sound bytes warning of pathogens closer to home. Then there are the messages themselves. How many doom and gloom health statistics and inflammatory stock images do you encounter in a day? How many times do you hear “Ask your doctor if [insert medication] is right for you”? FULL ARTICLE.

Conscious Quote

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.

digitalfamilyWhat Does Today’s Wireless Family Look Like?

ORIGODevice Disbles Car to Prevent Driver from Texting

Most systems designed to stop texting while driving — such as TXTBlockerand cellCONTROL — do so by blocking text message signals when the phone is in a car. klm-plane-02.jpg.492x0_q85_crop-smartKLM to Offer Weekly Flights with Plane Powered By Cooking Oil

KLM, a Dutch airline, has begun powering some transatlantic flights with a fuel mix that of 25% cooking oil and 75% jet fuel. 25 roundtrip flights between New York’s JFK and Amsterdam’s Schiphol will take place every Thursday for the next six months. So while I’m not a big fans of biofuels in general for thereasons stated by Dr. Hartmut Michel, this is actually a good use of them; aviation needs energy-dense fuel and can’t be electrified in the near future, and waste cooking oil that might otherwise be thrown away is a great “free lunch”. SONY DSC10 Full Body Workouts in 10 Minutes

It’d be nice if regular activity was woven into our daily lives so that we could stay lean, strong, and fit without really thinking about it, but that’s not the world most of us live in. We have to set aside time to move our bodies. But, as I always say, this doesn’t mean we have to exercise atop a conveyor belt with a TV in front of it doing everything we can to forget that we’re even exercising in the first place.
